After the street challenge in Monte Carlo, FA Racing by Drivex heads to southern France for a high-speed event in Le Castellet. Benavides, O’Keeffe and Schott expect strong results for the French venue
Madrid, 30 May 2019. FA Racing by Drivex is ready to contest the fourth round of the 2019 Formula Renault Eurocup season, just a few days after making its debut on the streets of Monte Carlo. The Spain-based team has been increasing its pace with each race to an extent where the first podium in the ultra-competitive Formula 3-based series is just around the corner.
Callan O‘Keeffe, Patrick Schott and Brand Benavides will be driving the FA Racing by Drivex-entered Tatuus T-318 cars once again. O’Keeffe, the most experienced driver of them with several seasons on the international stage, has secured four points-paying finishes in a row at Silverstone and Monaco. The South-African driver already fought for his maiden rostrum in Great Britain and delivered a strong performance in the Principality last weekend.
On the other hand, Swiss Schott collected his season’s best Formula Renault Eurocup result in Monte Carlo and, just like American Benavides, he has set his sights on scoring points coming into the weekend.
Unlike Monaco, Paul Ricard offers high levels of top speed and it is a very different challenge for the drivers. The long Mistral Straight is followed by the fast right-hander Signes corner and it’s extremely demanding for tires, which gets worse with characteristic high-temperatures at this time of year.
Saturday’s race 1, consisting of 30 minutes + 1 lap, will take place at 15.50 (GMT+2) with race 2 scheduled on Sunday at 15.25 (GMT+2) and identical race distance.
Both races will be broadcasted live on YouTube.
