DRIVEX TO ENTER THREE CARS FOR F3 WINTER SERIES IN MONTMELÓ
Andrade, who was previously announced as a full-season driver in the series, will be joined by Colapinto and female driver Marta García to carry out a two-day test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
Madrid, 8 March 2019. Time to kick off the final days of preseason testing for the 2019 F3 Open season, in which Drivex will contest for a fourth year in a row. Drivex will be fielding three Dallara F317 cars for Angolan Rui Andrade, Argentinean Franco Colapinto and Spaniard Marta García.
Andrade was announced earlier this year as a full-season driver in the series by Drivex and, following an extensive winter testing programme, the African driver will carry out two other test days in Barcelona, the second-to-last event on the calendar.
On the other hand, Colapinto will focus on gaining further experience at the wheel of the Formula 3 car. Apart from his commitments with Drivex in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship, Colapinto is expected to enter selected rounds of the F3 Open throughout the year.
Drivex and García will use the F3 Open’s Winter Series in Barcelona to prepare the second and last stage of the W Series – the all-female racing series– in Almería from 21st to 28thMarch. Marta will be back in a formula car for the very first time in a year and a half.
The schedule comprises of eight 55-minute session over the course of both days.
